Years ago when my son was single digit age he took a voiceover class. Since he was young I attended the class with him. The instructor realized that the commercials on hand were not age appropriate. I sat down and wrote some copy for the commericals that he recorded. When one commercial required a Mother's voice I stepped in to record. After I completed my lines I was asked by the instructor and engineer to create my own demo. Again, I wrote the copy for some of the commercials on the demo. I was told that voiceover talent ran in the family! Since then I have recorded poems on CD, song on CD, animated cartoon voice, retail announcements and promotions as well as speaking engagements.
I have taken voiceover classes and workshops along with my formal education. Being a life long learner I continue to take seminars and workshops to continue to develop my skills and capabilities. I take direction well and have received positive feedback about my attitude and approach to my work.
As an author, lyricist and speaker I often have the opportunity to give life to my spoken and written voice. Drawing from an extensive business background and using creative talent I have written tag lines, lyrics and slogans to promote individuals and businesses. I am usually the one asked to present as my voice gives energy, life and value to the messages created.
