About Jason
THE GUY
Jason is a long-time native of California with roots in the US mid-West and Western Europe. He’s lived in all three and has had diverse exposure to cultures around the world. He’s a lifelong fan of epic fantasy and scifi—reading and writing books, listening to audiobooks, watching movies and series, and especially narrating. Jason has six kids, mostly grown now, and throughout their upbringing he has shared his love for voices with them through their fondness for animated films. Rare is the day when their saucy banter would not draw classic lines from the characters of The Princess Bride (a Bishop favorite), Treasure Planet, Finding Nemo, Shrek, The 13th Warrior, O' Brother Where Art Thou?, Lord of the Rings, Guardians of the Galaxy, Despicable Me, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Up, Kung-Fu Panda, Home, Frozen, and too many more to list.
THE VOICE

- Experience, training, and equipmentJason's experience and training to date has been entirely self-directed, BUT extensively field tested on friends, family, coworkers, door-to-door solar salesmen, and telemarketers! Jason's sound recording is done at home, in a professionally sound-treated studio, using a Røde NT1A condenser mic with sound shield and plosive filter and Focusrite Scarlett 2i23G audio interface. DAW is Adobe Premiere Pro 2023. Jason also works closely with a local professional studio engineer with 40+ years of experience.
