I've been working as a VA in Sweden for the last year, mostly doing corporate and advertising jobs for a variety of companies including Volvo and Intel, but also a bit of computer game work and audiobook recording.
Generally I work at local studios, but I'm working on setting myself up with decent recording equipment at home as well. At the moment I only have very basic gear, but can provide demos.
I trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where I got a BA in acting in 2006. I've been working as an actor since then, mostly in theatre but also with short film credits.
I also work as a part-time freelance writer.
Basic home USB microphone, PC and some simple editing programs like audacity and wavepad.
Before I trained as an actor, I was a doctor. I'm pretty good with technical medical language, for the pharmaceutical industry or medical webpages for example.
I'm also a massive geek - I love computer games, roleplaying games and medieval history, I've got a wealth of useful/useless (delete as appropriate) knowledge relating to these fields. Plus I'm extremely enthusiastic about any projects involving such things!
