My "live" experience is extensive. I have been reading to young audiences for 5~20 hours per week for 6+ years.
My professional voiceover career, however, is in the early stages.
As of April 2014, I have 3 published audiobooks available:
- A Village Shattered, A Logan and Cafferty Mystery/Suspense Novel (Book 1) by Jean Henry Mead
- Mystery of Spider Mountain, A Hamilton Kids Mystery (Book 1) by Jean Henry Mead
- Ghost of Crimson Dawn, A Hamilton Kids Mystery (Book 2) by Jean Henry Mead
In the summer of 2011, I completed the Voices for All Master's Course, where I was able to hone my skills and learn how to create professional-quality recordings from home.
I have a lengthy marketing background, which included many years in Japan, where I became quite fluent in Japanese.
As a writer and designer of education and marketing materials and a life-long reader, I also have a great love of words and the knowledge and skill to use each one to its fullest. My wonderful Master's Class instructor, Mike Elmore, repeatedly reminded us "there are no throw-away lines" -- I would take that a step further and say "there are no throw-away words"!

Among the many hats I wear, I am the mother of a brilliant 9-yr-old who has an extraordinary vocabulary and reads far beyond his grade level. I can't help but believe that this is due in great part due to the countless hours he has spent listening to wonderful works of fiction being brought to life in an engaging and entertaining way all these years.
One of the primary reasons I am taking my passion for reading aloud to a professional level is so I can share that experience with more children than I have immediate access to -- chldren whose parents may not have the time, inclination and/or skills to narrate lengthy books themselves. An ulterior motive is also to leave a legacy for my son's children and grandchildren, even if I am not around to pass along a love of reading in person.
