I have no prior experience that is voice-specific, but I acted on and off throughout grade school, middle school, and high school. I started performing in operas at the age of six, and moved on to plays when I was eleven. I stopped acting when I was sixteen. I use a voice recorder to keep personal notes to myself on a daily basis, and so am somewhat accustomed to training my voice to be heard by others.
I do not have any formal training in this area. I have been told that I have an extremely unique voice and I am looking to apply it. As I have indicated, I have some acting experience, and I also use a personal voice recorder on a daily basis. I was a journalism major in college, and I am currently writing a book, due in January of 2009, based on my own coverage of the status of reporting on the 2008 Presidential election, as well as the election itself.
In September of 2007, I relocated to Chicago from Omaha, Nebraska. I did not know anybody in this city, and was subsequently forced to take the first step in meeting people in order to make new friends and networking connections. I have developed my interpersonal skills to a finely tuned degree, and am willing to meet any challenge without reservation. I often initiate conversations, and must be sure to speak with good diction. I am a friendly, approachable person who knows exactly how to articulate what it is I mean to express at any given moment.
