Carla is a British female based in Bristol, UK.
Carla trained in narration with the Bristol Academy of Voice Acting and can deliver confident, authoritative corporate reads as well as voicing scripts which need a friendly, down to earth and warm touch.
She can move between RP or something more conversational with a London hint, from her broadcast-quality home studio. She's happy to travel to London studios if needed.
Carla's worked in radio for the past few years, as a freelance producer for BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show, the most listened-to daily radio programme in the UK, where she's called upon to voice up scripts as needed.
Theatre is a big passion of Carla's and she has appeared in productions on the London Fringe and at Edinburgh Festival, the Minack Theatre in Cornwall and the Jardin Shakespeare in Paris.
Carla also co-produces and presents the Trapped History podcast, about unsung heroes who've done amazing things but haven't received recognition due to their gender, race, sexuality or class. www.trappedhistory.com
Carla's also had a wide ranging career in Public Relations for over 20 years, with a focus on major brands in financial services, social care, retail, charity and entertainment. Her exposure to the corporate world helps her to quickly understand a brand's objectives and bring the story or message to life.
Carla's trained to self-direct and also welcomes being directed. Please feel free to get in touch, Carla would love to hear from you! Email Carla at Jabberwockblog@gmail.com
