My background is sport's commentary and I have worked for the BBC, ITV, Eurosport, Sky Sports, ESPN, OLN (Now Versus). I have called live just about everything from club level to Olympic Games. My last Olympics was in Athens for Eurosport. I have voiced commercials, bill boards, video games, program voice overs and also undertaken on camera work. I'm willing to have a go at just about anything.
I started as a freelance journalist and provided copy to The Times (London), The Daily Telgraph and several specialist magazines such as Athletics Weekly, 220, Inside Triathlon and Velo News. I have a BSC and MSC in Computer Science. I own my own production company Runaway Products Ltd and also own a small local TV station, MADTV12, in Sugarbush Vermont. Because of my knowledge in sport I was originally asked by IMG/TWI to voice a world championship triathlon from Nice, France. Since then I have voiced most European sports but did call live Nascar on one occasion.
My television studio includes the following audio facilities:
Two Final Cut Edit Studios - with voice over capability.
Two audio mixing boards.
DV/DVCam player/recorder.
Broadcast quality microphone - handheld and two RF systems.
I have TV brodacst edit suites, cameras, and lighting.
I am multi talented in the TV production business: I am a camera man, editor, producer, director and commentator. Recently I was the Live producer of four of bobsleigh from Lake Placid for Fox/Speed. During that time I voiced the billboards to the programs. I have filmed and produced many sports/events from local up to world championship and Olympic Games. Early in my career I did undertake some radio work but mainly concentrated on television.
