Voice and Diction
Neumann TLM 102 - This is my main studio mic. Very warm and full bodied.
Sennheiser MKH 416 - This is my pro travel mic. Very natural and crisp sounding.
Apogee MiC 96k - This is my "comes everywhere with me" mic. I use it when I'm in a pinch, and time is of the essence. I know it's a USB mic, but I've booked jobs off this mic alone; even on the original audition!
Apogee A/D Converter (Audio Interface)
Adobe Audition
MacBook
WhisperRoom Isolation Booth
I take great pride in what I do. I submit projects from my quiet, professional studio. I am living proof that you don’t need top of the line EVERYTHING to produce a great sounding, professional voice over. What I do have through training is proficient microphone technique, as well as basic audio sweetening skills. I do NOT over process audio. I do just enough to satisfy the listeners ears; nothing more. But, don’t just take my word for it, see what these wonderful clients had to say:
"I wish more freelancers were like Ian Sanphy. Fast, precise, competent, extremely courteous. An absolutely pleasure to work with."
~ Roman Skaskiw, founder, Hint System
“Ian quickly understood what we were looking for when requesting his services. He responded promptly to any changes we needed without hesitation.”
~ Aimee Ponce, St. Andrew UMC
“Working with Ian has been a great pleasure for us. We liked his voice immediately and after the selection he was able to perfectly interpret our indications at the very first take.
He is not just a beautiful voice but a great interpreter able to give deep personality to any text.
A good, punctual and efficient professional. It's a great lucky for us to have Ian among our business contacts”
~ Rovero Impiglia e Giacomo Cagnetti - SBTOriginal (Directors)
