About Hans
My name is Hans Christian van Nijkerk. I'm a professional artist from Norway, where I currently live in the city of Stavanger. I have a BA in contemporary art and mainly work with performance as an artist, where I often use my voice as an integral part.
My work has been described as brave, convincing, dramatic, eccentric, energetic, fearless, hysterically funny, original, playful, refreshing, strange and unique.
In addition to doing voicework in Norwegian, I also do Dutch, since this is my other native language; I am half Norwegian/half Dutch.
Former clients include computer game designer Alan Edwardes (Estranged Act I-II), Australian educational video producer ClickView and artist, writer, publisher and curator Scott Elliott.

More specifically, I have worked with poetry slam (participated in the Norwegian national finals in 2011) and spoken word, dubbing video, mixing sound, performing live and recording studio vocals for music, done sound comedy sketches and theater. Collaborative projects include performance artist Hiroko Tsuchimoto and the band Swankmajer with Jan Frode Haugseth (http://swankmajer.bandcamp.com/).
