Gerard is a professional actor living in Sheffield where he was born and has considerable experience in theatre, television and radio drama (BBC Radio 3, 4 and 4 Extra).
He has played Chastity Dingles ex-husband in “Emmerdale”, has appeared in “Coronation Street” 4 times and more recently “Shameless” (Channel 4), “The Syndicate” and “Heading Out” on BBC1.
He is also a voiceover actor on major TV and radio ad campaigns for the likes of Lidl, Asda, Furniture Village, Wimbledon Tennis Museum, Toyota, to name just a few. He can be heard currently voicing adverts on TV and most Independent commercial radio stations worldwide.
He has narrated documentaries for the BBC (How to Build....Series 1 and 2) and Channel 4 (Amir Khan's Angry Young Men) as well as numerous elearning packages for various industries, from The NHS to power generation companies, PC Games, including “Desert Storm 2” and “Nexus: The Jupiter Incident” and talking books ("The Siege of Scarn").
He has voiced winning commercials at London International, VOX and recently 2012 IVCA Clarion Awards. He has been nominated for "Best Male Voiceover Performance" twice at VOX 2011 and 2013
