About Holly
I relish reading aloud, purposefully, exploring etymology and intentions of authors, creative writers, poets, and speakers. I treasure literacy as both enjoyable and vital. More than two decades ago I led a group to found a free Literacy Center, which continues to operate as designed. It pairs screened, trained volunteer tutors with struggling elementary students. It soon expanded to 14 satellite sites with simple, renowned effectiveness. I recorded two books at an educator's request, to support middle school students who were struggling to read. This photo is from a book drive I hosted at work.
