As a teacher of Spanish, Italian and Theater, Ciro has spent many years in front of audiences (ie. students and parents) and has directed many regional and high school productions both musical and drama. He himself is an actor and trained singer, having appeared in over forty musicals. Some of his most memorable roles include Nanki Poo in “ “The Mikado” and Frederic in “Pirates of Penzance”, both Gilbert and Sullivan productions. He has also played the roles of the Corporal in “Shenandoah”, Archibald Craven in “The Secret Garden”, and Colonel Pickering in “My Fair Lady,” to name a few. Over the years he has presented several one-man concerts . After retiring from the classroom, Ciro decided to use his performance skills from the classroom and the stage to become a professionally trained voice-over actor specializing in audiobooks, telephony, narrations, documentaries and jingles. When not in the theater or his home studio, Ciro enjoys working in his flower and vegetable gardens. He may not be the jolly green giant, but he does have a green thumb, jajajajajajajaja!
His love for languages has afforded him the opportunity to travel to sixteen countries in Europe including Spain, where he studied at the University of Madrid. Ciro not only taught high school level Spanish, but also Conversational Spanish for Sacred Heart University and Post University. For ten years he taught in the Alba Program at Post University, which was an elementary Italian course taught to children from ages 5-15 where they learned about their Italian heritage through songs and performance plays.
