I've worked in on the air in radio and recorded voiceovers for years. I currently am the Production Director and host the afternoon show (3pm-7pm) at an FM Christian Music radio station in Tampa, FL and I love it!
I’ve been involved in audio production since I was a teenager, learning Pro Tools on a simple audio interface connected to my home computer. My interest in the field stuck and I eventually pursued a career in radio. The station I’ve worked for since 2011 is an FM Christian Music station in Tampa, FL. I start my average workday between 11am and 11:30am and go on the air at 3pm.
I do have soundproof, state-of-the-art studios at my disposal but I record my VO projects at home using the following gear: Shure SM7B Microphone, Tascam USB audio interface, and Adobe Audition CC. I also have an acoustically treated room in an isolated part of my home specifically dedicated to recording.
Working as part of small staff at a major market FM radio station, I've had to employ a large variety of skills like social media marketing, website management including minor coding, audio editing and production, video recording and production, photography, comedy writing (for on-air bits and such), and (of course) voiceover work.
