About Fabian
(He/him)I'm a native German and English speaker with a calm, steady voice. I read in a natural, unhurried way (theatrical swings when needed, generally clear and grounded), which works well for audiobooks, e-learning, and explainer content.
I've taught at university level before, so I'm used to pacing things so they're easy to follow without sounding like a lecture. I also write my own poems and I'm an audiobook fan myself, so I have a good sense of what authors are actually listening for, such as rhythm, pauses, or not getting in the way of the story.
I record from a quiet home setup with a decent mic. Turnaround is usually about a week for shorter pieces, around 8 weeks for a full audiobook. Happy to work in English or German, and open to remote live direction if needed.

I also write poetry, so I'm attentive to rhythm, phrasing, and how language sounds when read rather than just how it reads on the page. As a longtime audiobook listener myself, I have a strong sense of what makes narration work and what gets in the way of a good story.
