Evan Bayton | Voice over actor

I am a 27-year-old trainee Occupational Therapist, who has a long-standing interesting in the arts, particularly in exploring how narrative can be expressed and explored in different ways- particularly through different forms of theatre, tv/film, literature- and most recently audiobooks! One of my long-term aims in life, is to incorporate practices around storytelling can help people therapeutically, which has brought home to me the gratification that audiobooks and podcasts allows me to escape, immerse, and ultimately explore, different ideas, both real and fantastical, in a way that's so unique. Often it allows me to focus more, as someone who often finds the practice of reading challenging at times, due to have dyslexia. Audio has allowed me to enjoy literature in a way, I never thought I could. I have always loved reading stories to my little sister, and seeing the gratification it gives her, as someone, who equally, due to her learning disabilities, would struggle to engage in those stories independently. As someone who wants to very much keep building up my skills and exposure within the arts, whilst undertaking my separate therapeutic training, and as a long-time lover of acting, I feel voice-over work, in it's diverse forms would be a great way for me to utilise my skills and passion for the practice!
