In January of 2013 I started doing commercials for stations in the Next Media group, Star 105.5, 103.9 The Fox, 95.1 WIIL Rock, 95.9 The River, etc.... These commercials ranged from: -simple, dry reads about how you can work at home and earn more money than you are now
-upbeat reads about various festivals from Lake in the Hill's Ribfest to The City of Elgin's Movies in the Park
-sexy dialogue commercial about how excited I am about dressing up for The Snuggery in McHenry for their Mardi Gras party or one about how excited I was to take a pole dancing class
-young boy excited for a new place opening up called Mega Trampoline Fun Zone where he can play laser tag and jump on trampolines for as long as his little heart desires
-an informative commercial about where to get cheap, used auto parts
In April, I took Voice over class at Second City in Chicago, taught by Deb Doetzer. Learned and recorded dry, character, gaming, and dialogue voice overs, and even got to record in the Chicago Recording Company.
Went to school for Broadcasting Communications at Marquette University graduating in 2007 with a minor in Theater. I took various television and radio classes from performing to programming.
I went to theater camp for a week in the summer for 5 years at N.I.U taking various classes there. I also participated in theater in high school as well as with community theater. My best roles were probably Smee in Peter Pan and Mouse King in The Nutcracker.
I also took voice over class at Second City in March and April of 2013.
I have everything in studio I need to record; 3 Audio Technica AT 3035 studio mics, computers, mouse, Adobe, headphones, soft foam acoustic wall tiles, pop shields on microphones, and a mixing audio console board.
Not only do I do commercials for the radio stations I work for, but I am on-air middays on 103.9 The Fox, WFXF. I love what I do and am committed to it. I also love to edit audio so doing so is no big thing for me.
I have also been a trivia host at Dave and Busters for over a year. I guess you can say I sound pretty good behind the mic.
