I am fairly new to this career, but have had experience at my current job. I work for a publishing company and got the opportunity to start doing voiceovers and advertising clips. We had some new marketing materials that we wanted to use, and we needed someone with the right voice to do it. I was volunteered to do the job. I instantly feel in love with it. I enjoy "getting into character" for the different roles that needed to be played. My first was a clip we used where I was a newly graduated nurse. I had the stethoscope around the neck, clipboard in hand, and all. It was about a minute and a half clip. I was the nurse who was so excited to "start my new nursing career and loved the training that I received." It was a great experience and I really enjoyed the work. The next opportunity that I received was a little different. I was not on camera. I had to record an intro to a video advertisement that we would send to all of our clients. All 2,000 of them! This was the task that I really enjoyed. I received great feedback and realized that this was something I would love to get more involved in. Since this is not my primary job, opportunities for jobs like this only pop up here and there. I found this website and realized there was great potential to advance my skills. I really hope that I get the chance to create something for you!
