While there, I received vocal training from several teachers. I studied the vocal theories and practices of Catherine Fitzmaurice and Kristin Linklater. I also did a semester abroad in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). Previous to my university training, I took voice lessons for eight years (mezzo-soprano). I was privileged to participate in the NYSSMA All State Choir in 2006. I participated in the NYSSMA All County Choir for many years. NYSSMA stands for New York State School Music Association. AT-2020 Microphone Audacity I am a published author and editor (search my name in amazon). I love reading, which I think adds to my interest in voiceover work, particularly audiobooks. I try to read four to six books a month and listen to audiobooks on a regular basis. I love good stories, but I'm also very passionate about history (all of my published works are either biographies or historical fiction). I work as an actor, more information about that can be found on my website I also work as a tutor, for all grade levels in all subjects. I believe in the importance of education and thoroughly enjoy expanding upon and supplementing school learning with my students. Perhaps my earliest vocal work was as a tour-guide at the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. I volunteered there for many years before having an official job during college. Proper vocal placement makes a big difference when you're giving tours all day long. I also have the travel bug - I spent eight months traveling around Europe. I've been to twenty-seven countries in the world. I'm fascinated by different cultures, particularly from a historic point of view.
