Eaton Catherine

Catherine received her education at Cornell University, MFA from the University of MN, and conservatory degree from Mountview in London. She then went on to become a member of the Guthrie Theatre's resident company for three years, both on the mainstage and touring (as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream ). She simultaneously toured the country spokesmodeling for Stolichnaya Vodka during their relaunch campaign. Since moving to New York, Catherine has appeared Off and Off-Off Bway, done a number of independent films and studio films, been seen on Sex and the City, East Enders, and Law and Order, as well as working on camera and voiceover for major corporate clients BMW and Target. She is also a consistent voice talent for audio-books and video games as well as normal commercial programming. An actress, writer, and producer, Catherine Eaton is one of three founding partners of the production house, stir, a manhattan based producer of film, theatre, television, installation, and gallery showings, focusing on the empowerment and collaboration of artists across mediums. Catherine created the show CORSETLESS, a contemporary narrative based on the writings of Shakespeare, which is set for theatrical production in Spring of 2007. Adapting it for screen, the film will be shot as a co-production with stir and Glencross Films Summer 2007. For Stir, Catherine is also writing Beyond Shelter, a feature length drama about the re-victimization of domestic violence survivors by legislative oppression.
