I have done two voice-overs jobs to date having just started a month ago (July, 2010). Both were for a radio station in Mrytle Beach, SC, KISS FM 985. One was radion imaging and the other a PSA. My voice is naturally suited for sexy reads because of its deep texture!
I worked with an excellent vocal coach in the Atlanta, GA area, Deborah Richards, to master breathing techniques and hiding my geographical accent. In college I sang with an R&B group as the female vocalist under the direction of Dr. Portia Maultsby in the IU Soul Review, a course that required audition for admittance. I worked as a profession runway model for 12 years and was constantly approached by members of that industry to utilize my voice.
My professional career was in medical devices sales. I spent many years in hospitals educating physicians, surgeons and medical staffs regarding the intended use, care and benefits of the equipment I sold. I am a confident public speaker as well as a convincing one on one negotiator. I have been advised by those I rely on in this industry to do on-camera work because of my appealing looks.
