I bring a wealth of potential as a singer, lover of words and languages and understanding of business marketing. My educational and work background is diverse: a science major in university with med-school experience brings a love of all things health/science-related; my yrs working in one of the top brand-communications agencies in the world exposed me to the best in global branding (Nike, Coca-Cola, Microsoft et al). I lived in Europe for 11 years and started several businesses including hotel, consulting and professional singing, during which time I developed a sharpened sense of literacy and spoken-language nuances through exposure to many European languages on a regular basis.
I participated in high school and university readers' theatre and musical theatre stage productions. I have been singing as a professional classical lyric tenor in Canada, the Netherlands and Germany since 2004. I love theater, having acted in several shows/musicals, and am also a composer. I am currently living in Los Angeles studying voice to develop my professional singing and voice-over careers.
My studio engineer lives 3 doors down the same street. He works regularly with well-known musicians and artists both from his home studio and around the world. He has a fine-tuned ear for expression, tonality and 'emotional fit'. He acts not only as a great audio engineer but also as a voice coach in ensuring the delivered script will fulfill the client's needs. Demos and finished products may be done quickly due to my neighbor's next-door proximity, and if he is travelling on business, a back-up studio is down the boulevard, walkable distance.
I laugh loud and hearty. I studied English literature in school/university, love the written word and am an avid reader. I love business, science, the arts, cooking and sports. I am a type-A personality in the sense that my work will not be finished until it is as great as I can possibly make it.
