I am very involved with a theater group known as Ghostlight Theater. My most recently completed work with them was a Radio Theater style production of "It's a Wonderful Life." Because of the style of performance in this production, I was able to stretch my voice in many ways. I played three major parts which included Violet Bick (The flirty easy girl), Mrs. Hatch (Mary's mother), and Jimmy the Bird. I also provided walla for the production.
I am now working on a musical known as "Moby Dick: The Musical" with the same group. In this production I play the boy crazy, slightly inappropriate, and very flashy Esta, wife of Ahab. Esta sings very passionately about wanting her husband to come home and at the end of the very next song throws herself out a window. Later in the play, she comes back as a ghost, appearing to Ahab in a few songs.
Most of my experience comes from the above stated shows. I have also taken part in a few minor competitions as well as spoken directly with professional voice actors about the voice acting industry. Despite all the negatives they have spelled out for me I am sure that this is what I want to do and I will not back down. May fame try to chew me up and spit me out I shall again stand and say "Bring it on!"
I do not currently have my own studio but I am looking into condenser microphones and recording software to go with it.
I am tenacious, hardworking, and able and ready to take direction and criticism. It would be beneficial to mention that I can sing well and that I am comfortable with singing as well as acting. I am capable of doing walla and foley and I have no problem with making various fighting noises or other various noises not necessarily including spoken words.
I also am capable of intermediate editing.
