Hi, I'm Derek. I'm a voice actor based in Tokyo with a background in theatre and musical theatre, so I bring real stage training to the mic. Pacing, character work, emotional honesty. Not just a nice-sounding voice reading words off a page. My main focus is commercial work: reads that sound like a person actually talking to you, not a pitch. I also do corporate and e-learning narration, clear and warm and easy to trust. Character work is something I'm building toward too, with animation and video games as a genre I'm actively training for. Being based in Japan gives me native English delivery combined with working Japanese ability and real cultural fluency, a strong fit for anime and game localization studios that need authentic English VO done right. It also means easy availability across both US and Asian time zones for clients on either side. My home studio is broadcast ready (RODE NT1 mic through an Audient EVO4 interface), so you get clean, professional audio delivered fast. Let's make your project sound the way it's supposed to.
