A former radio announcer who began his career at the end of the era when radio disc jockeys could talk as much as they wanted, when they wanted - and benefited greatly from the experience, I also spent several years as a television host/producer, and several years as an actor in local theater companies, where I performed roles calling for an African accent (the role of Asagi in "A Raisin In The Son," and the role of Sam, a South African in "Master Harold & The Boys."). I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., but you would not know it from listening to me.
I graduated from the former Announcer Training Studios, N.Y., N.Y., having completed their Radio Announcing and Production course. I worked at radio stations on Long Island, N.Y., and Easton, PA. I have hosted and produced a Public Affairs program for a local PBS station in Bethlehem, PA, and co-hosted a Penn State-Produced consumer program that aired on the same PBS station. I have acted in local theater productions in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania.
I am working on establishing a relationship with a nearby studio.
I have been a writer/editor for more than 25 years, which has been my bread-and-butter occupation while I pursued the television and acting work. I have been the media spokesman for an insurance industry lobbying group in Washington, D.C., and I continue writing/editing/media relations as a consultant.
