Over 20 years experience in theatre, radio & television commercials, corporate videos, industrial films, audio books and telephone voice message systems. These included numerous characters as well as announcer roles.
Training came from mostly theatre work: studied throughout high school and began doing regional theatre right after graduation. Over 20 years stage experience as well as being a mimic. I picked up my first dialect by listening to my best friend's mom who happened to be Cockney (British). I played Arlie in a production of Getting Out that won the 1989 AACT National Festival and represented the U.S. in Monaco. When I started having children, I would read their stories in character voices; my youngest daughter wouldn't let her dad read to her because he didn't "do the voices right".
Work for a group of radio stations and have access to the production studio. I also have close friends that own a production company. Plan on building my own studio within the next year.
I also have radio station imaging experience.
