I began in voice over in 1998 and immediately garnered radio spots, including Rhodes Furniture, office telephone system recordings, and several narrations for trade show kiosks and medical conferences. Around this time, I began performing with an audio drama group, The Atlanta Radio Theater Company (ARTC), which performed predominantly at sci-fi/fantasy conventions, local public radio, and other local venues. After 2003, my voice over work took a back seat to a career in mental health. I am now looking to return to voice acting, and excited about the opportunities in radio, film, gaming, and animation.
I began studying piano and voice in my early childhood, performing in school choir and plays. I attended the Interlochen Arts Camp, then called National Music Camp, in Interlochen, MI, for 6 summers, with a focus on voice, piano, and musical theater. I took a voice over workshop in 1998 with Paul Armbruster in Atlanta, GA, and he directed my first demo. He would often call me to provide a female voice on men's demos that he was directing, and he went on to play my demo as an example in his future workshops. In 1999, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, followed by a Master of Science degree in professional counseling in 2003. In mid-2015, I began working with voice coach, Veronica Weikel, who directed my most recent set of demos.
