About Karla
I started doing commercials on a whim when a friend of mind asked me if I could substitute for an artist that bowed out at the last minute. I'm what you would call "self-taught" and still learning, but wouldn't call myself a novice, but not quite an expert. I don't want to stay in a specific genre so I am always playing with my voice, having a native Southern voice that I can tap into is great, but expanding in my abilities to do different voices and accents is something that I continue to strive to do thus not staying inside the box. I try to remain flexible, easy to work and positive which is definitely needed in quick turnover jobs.
