Ever since I was a child, I can remember doing play acting and using my voice for fun and entertainment. I have been singing since I was 5 years old and have been in numerous plays. Studying speech and voice training since I was 13 years old and through college. I taught drama for one year at Clovis Christian School in Clovis, NM. I recorded my one and only album in 1997 entitled, "In His Name"; it is a collection of Christmas carols. I have spoken and have sung in many churches across the country and am quite familiar with speaking in front of others.
Companies, such as Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, have used my voice for their telephone system messaging, voice greetings and voice mail announcements.
My receptionist work has helped me in communicating with many different types of people and businesses. As an admission Coordinator for Hospice care, I have trained my voice for compassion, strength and efficiency.
As a vocalist, I have learned to articulate and project my voice with different timbers and emotions.
Through drama and speech, I have learned to listen to others and react to them in return. I am able to follow direction and compliment a project with my voice!
My training is mainly in the area of acting and singing. I have had 8 years of vocal training with breathing exercises and interpretation. I have acted in murder mysteries, musicals and dramas. I have learned to communicate through teaching, singing, phone work and writing.
My careers have encompassed many avenues. I have been and am a mother of two sons, now both in the military. I am a vocalist and am actively singing in church and Nursing Homes and other various places. I have taught music, drama and singing in grades K-12.
I have been a Director of Music on military installations and other churches.
I have worked with those who are facing death either personally or related to.
I have the ability to put someone at ease almost instantly. I also have the ability to be dramatic.
