I have a solid background in theater, acting for stage, voice techniques, comedy, radio, podcasting, and other pertinent skills necessary to create a story using only my voice.
Having graduated from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA, I worked with numerous entertainment professionals honing my craft. At CalArts, I participated in voice-over projects; took hundreds of hours of training classes revolving around voice (Linklater Technique, mainly,) speech, and breathing; and learned how to weave them together to better tell a story.
I have also studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where I was able to work together with professional radio actors from BBC Radio to learn how dramatically and effectively tell a story through a voice recording.
With all of this training and experience under my belt, I fused it together into a successful career as a preschool teacher where I practiced all of these skills by reading countless stories to children and understanding how to manipulate my voice to best evoke a feeling or reaction from my students.
After enjoying much success as an educator, and with the help of my audio engineer wife, I parlayed my abilities into creating my own in home studio and creating a podcast about navigating the world of the foster care system. Each episode was recorded, produced, edited, and published by myself.
Now, I would love to begin a new chapter of my life as a narrator. While my credits are few, my skills, desire, and passion more than make up for that.
I cannot wait to work with you!
