I have radio and television experience. I have written and voiced commercials for both. I have also done national commercials for Just My Size, Wendys and Taco Bell.
I use to reside in Jackson MS, where I did voice overs for local businesses too. The sales staff at Backyard Broadcasting always knew who to come to when they needed a raspy, sexy voice for a spot.....yup that was me!! I'll never forget having to do the voice over for a sex toy company called "The Toy Box" that was fun!
When I worked on air as the Middays Talent also for Backyard Broadcasting, I would have alot of the male listeners call in and say I had the sexiest DJ voice they ever heard. Ummm k thanks!!
I graduated from broadcasting school out of Daytona Beach, Florida. When I auditioned to get into the school the instructor said I had excellent inflection in my voice and had the ability to sound like I was talking to an audience and not "at" an audience.
Aside from going to school and working in the radio and television industry doing voice work you could say that most of it just comes naturally I suppose. I've always had the inflection that was needed. I tend to like comic roles although I can do just as good with newscasts, or instructional type voice overs.
In a nutshell, I deliver what the client wants. In my previous job with WTOK Television I was a Creative Services Director where I had my hands in all of it. I'm talking directing, writing, voicing, producing and editing the commercials to air on our networks. I also did the same in radio as a Production Director.
I am very creative especially when it comes to writing scripts. I have worked closely with clients to ensure effective marketing of their products and/or services.
I have edited on Cool Edit/Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, AVID, Prophet, Audio Vault and SAW, I have also dabbled a bit with VEGAS.
