I started voice overs in 1991 with a local TV commercial. I was also a sought after show host/emcee and quickly got recruited into radio as an on air personality and production talent in 1993. I started radio at KSCS in Dallas/Ft.Worth TX and moved to LA from there. I did on camera acting and voice overs for various clients in LA for 2 years. Moved to Salt Lake City Utah and worked in Radio & TV for 2 years (big fish in little pond thing..and ski bum). I did voice-overs and on camera acting through McCarty Talent (a top talent for them) and the radio groups I worked for doing production and on air. I landed a national radio program and relocated to Portland Oregon. 8 mths later I moved back to Dallas Texas where I continued as a radio/TV personality and voice & on camera talent. I worked for a local studio doing production and creation for local and national spots. I opened my own media creation studio where I produce and voice commercial spots, IVR, and narrations. I have been nominated for several awards for voice talent and commercial creation, though I personally have not won one YET. I'd love the opportunity to voice for you or create and produce a unique commercial spot.
I have studied under many top voice talents such as Betty Pierce Zoller, Bob Magruder, Jerry Houston, Hugh Lampman. Burton Richardson (Arsenial Hall Show, Price is Right, Family Feud) took me under his wing and has been a dear friend and mentor since 1996. I have been doing character voices all of my life which is what led me into doing voice overs in the first place. I studied public speaking for my Communications Degree and have over 500 appearances as a speaker or show host/emcee. I have had teleprompter training (which I am a natural at). I worked with Rick Robertson for 3 years creating, voicing and learning from him before opening my own studio. I have been producing audio since 1989 when I was doing music production and running band sound. I am a professional drummer/instructor. I was always the "go to guy" for production and creation at every radio station that I worked at as I love to create fun catchy spots.
I use Pro Tools with a Behringer board. I use a Neumann TLM 103 Condenser Microphone, CAD e100 Supercardioid Electret Servo-Condenser mic as well as a Sennheiser MD421U. Nice little variety.
I can do quick turn around on most voice needs. Production may take a day or so depending on the work load that week from other clients. IVR has been a specialty and I also have a pool of Talent to pull from besides my self.
