Highly creative personality is how both professionals and instructors have described me. This trait is what I use to create innovative and unusual commercials, sometimes voicing them with the pipes I have utilized all my life on stage as an opera singer. My sound editing skills, using Adobe Audition 1.5 and Pro Tools, allow me to produce the commercials I write and voice. Being Creative Director and writer for “Payton Creatives” utilizes my copywriting skills for commercials, print ads and web sites.
My interviewing skills result from researching and interviewing personalities such as Valerie Pringle (CTV), Erin Davis (CHFI), Joe Andrews (Humber College) and Stevie Vallance (Voice-over animation artist and Jazz Singer.) People usually find me easy going, eager to go above and beyond the call of duty, and quick to come to the rescue if needed; a Girl Friday in most situations; loyal, trustworthy, honest, persistent, and determined to be optimistic and helpful in the face of adversity. An education in performing arts completes a well-rounded personality.

I learned to be a voice over starting at a private broadcasting school in Toronto where I obtained a Certificate of Broadcasting, under the tutiledge of Peter Mellor, Julia Paton and Dave Arkel. This also involved news reads, commercial and narrative voice overs and writings of same. I then took an Advanced Voice Over Certificate, under Bob Cook of City TV. I took advanced animation and voice over lessons from Earl Sky at the Humber College of Media Broadcasting, and recently, have completed an Advanced Certificate of Animation, while studying under Stevie Vallance; an Emmy award winning producer and animation artist; who considers my work to be excellent.
In my early years, I worked with the Canadian Opera Company, Opera Lyra, and Opera Breva as an Opera singer, and later, made my living overseas as an Opera singer in England and Germany. Nowadays, as well as a voice over artist, I work as a published writer, a freelance journalist, and most recently , an events specialist.

I am known as a natural actress; although I have also taken acting classes in my training. I have an in-home studio production facility; which makes it possible for speedy and accurate work. I work long and hard, and am adaptable to any voice over/animation situation.
I have been an Opera, concert, and oratorio singer all my life, in Europe and in Canada, and have a copywriting and radio broadcasting certificate; which comes in handy for my own freelance company.
