About Colleen
As a Grammy nominated recording artist with over 10 years of studio experience in writing and recording music, I am very comfortable in front of the microphone. I love to act, sing and record voiceover. Due to my background as a lead singer in a rock band, I can sound raspy and confident. And with my experience as a pre-school music teacher and my voiceover work on an educational app for kids, I specialize in sounding like a warm and comforting teacher/parent, and/or a smart and confident woman for commercial ads. I grew up in Southern California and can also do a pretty great "Valley Girl" or "Angry Teenager" voice. I am studying with some great coaches working on my animated reel and love learning new accents as well!

- Experience, training, and equipmentI currently work as an in-house sound designer, voiceover and composer for a company in the children's space. Over the past six years I have played many voiceover characters for TV commercials, animated series, IVR systems, and narrated audio storybooks, games and applications. I am a Grammy nominated recording artist with both Gold and Platinum records. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a minor in TV and Film production. I have over 15 years experience in recording studios, and spend at least 5 days a week in a vocal booth. I have attended voiceover workshops and private classes with award winning coaches Richard Horvitz and MJ Lallo in Los Angeles, CA. I have a home studio with the following gear: Neumann U87 microphone, Sennheiser Momentum headphones, Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton and Adobe Audition.
