Book Narration was my way into VO work. I have several books at this point. All the way from Westerns to Romance and anything in-between (including Western-Romance).
Commercials: I also play 'The Dude' and several animal creatures in a 'Natty Ice' commercial.
Video Games: Ok, so I don't have video game credit yet....but I really want to!
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Performance Emphasis from Southern Oregon University.
This includes three terms of Voice classes:
Dialect
Shakespeare
Comedia del Arte
Greek Theater
I am a classically trained Actor and have played:
Romeo: Romeo and Juliet
Benedick: Much Ado About Nothing
Feste: Twelfth Night
I am also fortunate enough to do many modern plays. Both Comedy and Drama.
The e-books that I do are entirely narrated and produced by myself. The production is mostly self-taught. However, I have to give my friend, James, credit for truly showing me the production end.
My studio consists of a Blue Yeti microphone and pop screen. I read off of my iPad and record onto my iMac. I have built a small soundproof studio.
For recording I use the downloadable 'Reaper' program. As far as most editing and sound removal, I also use 'Audacity.' I find it easier to record with Reaper, but easier still to edit on Audacity.
Everything is recorded on .wav format and I usually convert it to mp3 for auditions or uploading chapters for e-books.
I am a dedicated actor who is always striving to become better.
I am originally a country boy who grew up farming and that's why I feel I naturally get the Cowboy/Western roles so convincingly. But I love all kinds of performance and feel that I am an asset to any project.
