My experience can be traced all the way back to my junior year of college at the University of Southern Mississippi, where I received my Bachelors degree in Mass Communcations/ Broadcast Journalism. I interned with a local radio station providing game time updates for the famous Oak Grove High School baseball team, along side one of my mentors Kelly Sanner. From there I proceeded to continue to use my communications skills during post game reports with local and international sports organizations such as; Channel 7 WDAM News, ESPN, Hattiesburg American and Clarion Ledger. This experience of developing a relationship with different media outlets has truly shaped my outlook and expectations from this industry. Following my graduation from the University of Southern Mississippi I proceeded to continue my football career and accepted a contract with the El Paso Generals in 2008. Due to a career ending injury all of my focused shifted back to my communications background. I proceeded to research the necessary steps that I needed to take in order to pursue air time for my own show. In late 2008 I teamed up with Fish Bowl Radio Network and launched the "Sam-Son & Unc Show". We proceeded to add numerous sponsors, advertisers, guest and listeners world wide. Some of our sponsors included Smoothie King, Philly Connection, Mimi's Restaurant, The Cotton Law Firm and Cooking with Emmy. While operating the "Sam-Son & Unc Show" I maintained full control over commercials, programming, scripts etc. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your company! I have received my Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from the University of Southern Mississippi and my J.D., from Mississippi College School of Law. I am Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, Audacity, Sound Forge,Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and can Operate a sound board. I have access to professional recording studio with all of the necessary equipment. My experience working with CBS Outdoor has prepared me to think outside of the box when implementing a new marketing campaign or product and I'm anxious to hone those skills in order for more opportunities.
