I use PreSonus Studio One pre-amp and software. I use a Sennheiser MD 421 dynamic microphone or Rode NT2 condenser with pop-filter for voice-over work. I apply mild compression (2:1), a channel-strip noise gate, and high pass filter / 2k boost EQ setting for clarity. I have high-end Sansui amplifier and Acoustic Research speakers.
I have recently been working for Matilda Education – creating, proof-reading, editing, voicing and captioning instructional videos for their online MyDigital platform. I also provide voice-over recording, editing and Quality Assurance for their many online resources, covering NSW and Victorian Humanities (History and Geography) and Science curricula for years 7–10.
For Risk Sound / Audible and Bolinda Audio, I edited, recorded and produced over 250 unabridged audiobooks. Both of these roles involved (some) narrator direction, manuscript proof-reading / editing, and grammar, syntax, style & continuity checking on-the-fly, whilst maintaining the highest quality of audio clarity, flow and integrity.
For Key Institute (Registered Training Organisation) I proof-read, edited, voiced and produced 62 workbooks for their online Certificate III training website.
Working over several years with esteemed Melbourne author and playwright, Barry Dickins, I have transcribed, recorded and edited five complete novellas; from handwritten manuscripts, and in person.
