WHERE PROFESSIONAL AND LIFE EXPERIENCE MEET “Nothing but acting!” And so performing on stage, on-camera in commercials and as a corporate spokesperson became my life. Yet “life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans” meant that when I began an extended vacation in Costa Rica, I paid for it by offering voice overs in English to San Jose producers. Then life called me to Mexico to study with a spiritual teacher, where I stayed for twenty years! While gaining the invaluable life experience of making my way in a different culture and learning to speak a different language, it became clear that performing was not destined to remain in my past. Televisa was producing English soap operas, and I was welcomed as a cast member in several series. For 10 years I was the official promo voice of Televisa’s cable station in English “American Network”. I bungee jumped 8 times in Puerto Vallarta for academy award winning director Alejandro Gonzales Iñarritu; and did scores of on-camera commercials. But throughout it all my livelihood was voice over in English. Some of my clients include: Nestle’s, Aeromexico, Pond’s, VW, Revlon, All Bran, Nido, Volaris Airlines, Svelty, Ceebees BBC Preschool, The B20, Bocar Automotive, Loeffler Industries, Montverde School, Mexichem. I recorded numerous state tourism videos, hundreds of corporate videos, and even recorded thousands of numbers and words for the national telephone company Telmex’s phone prompts in English. Now that life, via family, has called me back to the States, I have that wealth of professional and life experience to bring to new clients. I can translate scripts from Spanish to English, smoothly pronounce Spanish words in an English script, or voice an entire script in Spanish (with an American sound easy on the English speaking ear.) My voice is deep yet with a youthful vibe. A tone that cuts through, yet silky. A bit Susan Sarandon, a bit Sigourney Weaver.
