This is my first try at voiceover work!
My partner (who used to be an actress) persuaded me to "throw my hat into the ring" as she felt that I had a particularly interesting English voice with a very strong presentation, and she felt that I should try and capitalise on its intrinsic quality in this industry.
I am an experienced after-dinner speaker at mainly sporting functions, and am regarded as a very good joke-teller.
I was selected to play an aristorcratic Englishman in a Channel 4 reality TV programme "What the butler saw", where a dyfunctional family had to host a Whist evening in a sumtuous mansion, as one of their many tasks to win
a £50,000 inheritance.
I was invloved in the recent production of a DVD to be used for marketing the card game Bridge, and bringing this into the public domain in the same way as Snooker, Darts and Poker. I was selected not just as a Bridge player, but for my very clear diction and speaking voice.
I am educated to postgraduate level, and undertook my first degree at Edinburgh University.
I am currently involved in producing 2 British films for theatrical and DVD release.
.
I do not have my own studio, but am able to requisition appropriate equipment through my contacts in the industry
My career has 3 main parts:
1. 21 years in Allied Breweries and for the last 8
8 yeard, I was Retail Drector of the London
subsidiary with responsibility for 150 pubs
2. 16 years in recruitment both as a MD of a "blue-
chip" company, and then as a self-employed
"headhunter"
3. 6 years as a founding Director of Brootal Icon
Ltd with producer responsibilities for 2 British
films
I am an extrovert and have a very social personality,
with a well-defined "sense of humour".
I play a lot of sport and am very much a "team player".
