I have been performing one way or another since learning to read at the age of three, when my mother sent me to read my comic to an old lady down the road. I don't suppose she was very interested in the content, but she seems to have been tickled by the whole business. At school at age six I was the Angel Gabriel.....and at seven I was left in charge of the class by the teacher to read to them and keep them quiet if she had to be elsewhere. It seemed to work. I've been an amateur actress off and on throughout my life (Prospero in The Tempest at my - girls'! - grammar school, foreign language productions at university, Duchess of York in Richard II at the Stamford, Lincs outdoor summer Shakespeare season). Currently I am most noted amongst my nearest and dearest for my rendition of the Just William stories.
I am also a choral singer, currently belonging to a semi-professional chamber choir, but have no solo aspirations (though I was often made to sing solos when I was younger - I can only assume I was the best of a mediocre bunch!).

In progress - I have a tame studio engineer in the shape of my brother, a one-time band member, whose brain (and equpiment) I shall be picking.
Being highly educated and multilingual and having work experience in many areas (academic, medical, legal, commercial), I am able to deal intelligently with scripts in any subject area. I have also lived in several different countries and hence am familiar with different cultures.
