I have narrated some of the satirical films that I have produced on Youtube starting in 2013.
Phil Giordana of the French band Fairyland listened to some of my work and hired me to do some spoken-word voiceovers for their upcoming album. I flew from Malta, where I was living at the time, to meet and work with Phil in Nice in January 2014.
The project is ongoing. Depending on financing from Fairyland's label I may have to fly back to finish the project later this year.
I have no formal experience or training in the field and stumbled into it by accident.
All my remote recording has been done on Apple MacBooks of various models. The current one is a MacBook Air purchased in March 2014.
I'm currently searching for the best microphone to go with it (I only moved back to the US in early March 2014).
The house I am staying in currently, has a sound-proofed room.
I've learned basic script-writing, video-editing and production skills on i-movie and Windows Movie Maker.
Back in the last decade I also had a job (at which I was very successful) that involved skip tracing and that required me to be able to change my voice and (in effect) play various characters.
If you look at the Youtube Channel listed below the following videos are narrated by me:
Ken Burns' The Great Schism (parts one and two)
In Search Of The Historical Peezus
