I'm a pro, even though I just booked my first VO gig here in LA, for Imgene, an international pharmaceutical corporation. It was in-house, meant for sales reps and VERY technical. They were pleased with my performance. As a performer, I was a New York City actor and comedian for 10 years. Did a lot of theater, many nightclubs, college tours. Appeared in over 30 national commercials, mostly on-camera, some voice over work. For the last 20 or so years I've worked mainly as a writer-producer for network TV shows like Gimme a Break, The Hogan Family, Perfect Strangers, That's So Raven. I've missed performing, am getting back to it.
I studied VO with MJ Lallo. I have a degree in Theater Arts from Trinity College, Hartford CT. As noted above, I have a ton of experience as an actor, a comedian and a writer. I'm a one-stop shop as a performer. Comedy, narration, tags. commercials, announcing. And can write or rewrite copy, whether it's prose or dialogue. I've made 'em laugh and I've made 'em cry. I can deliver the goods.
I am not yet a one-man studio. I have so far recorded my demos and auditions at MJ Studios in Burbank, CA and Voice Trax in Studio City, CA. Both facilities have excellent engineers and do full-service production.
I am versatile vocally and creatively. I take direction well. If you'd like something to sound more natural, I can fix the copy. If the copy must be read "as written", I can make it sound natural. I'm a little new to voice-over, but an old hand at acting, comedy performing, writing and show business in general. (And I'm fairly pleasant company.)
