My interest in voice work started as a journalism student in college while interning for Clear Channel Communications being given the opportunity to record advertisements and produce hockey games for the radio. After being encouraged by the staff that I had a great, natural voice for this work, I went on to earn my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Since then, I've become a prolific podcaster; recording, editing, and mastering all of my own content. In addition to my own podcast (Punk Journalism), I also produce a podcast for the Colorado Air National Guard that I started. Currently, I'm working on producing a podcast for a brand new comic book startup, called Zoop, as well as an LGBTQ+ podcast, Beautifully Queer. I've written all scripts, introductions, and copy for my work. As a journalist and professional writer and communicator, I am eloquent and well-spoken.
I have a great "radio voice," but have also been told that many people listen to my content simply because I have a very pleasant, dare I say sexy, voice to listen to. Being a singer with a love for classic ballads, I've adapted somewhat of a crooner-style sound in my natural speaking voice as well.
I most often utilize a recording studio at the Public Affairs office where I work with the Air National Guard. Being trained as a journalist, I'm skilled at producing and editing content, and have access to top of the line recording equipment and editing software. About once a week I also create video content promoting the Air Guard. I have the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes Premier Pro. I use a ProFX 8-channel mixer for recording.
Due to my experience producing and editing, I'm capable of turning around a project very quickly, depending on the size and scale of the project. A day at the quickest, but likely no more than a week.
