I work at a major design agency in Portugal, in the motion graphics department. It all started with an animation for a new fruit juice brand being launched internationally and we needed the voice for our work. Since the client wasn't responding on time, I recorded my own voice in it. And my voice eventually made it to the final animation.
After that, I started recording my voice into the agency's work at a professional studio. From there, my voice was heard by many clients of the recording studio, who went there to find voices for their work. Consequently, I started recording for other clients apart from my agency.
I recorded for many diverse clients. For example, I recorded my voice for McDonalds, as a narrator for a DVD about Wildfires, a DVD to promote Portuguese wine abroad, and, in a more fun and "hard selling" voice, some tv shopping ads.
I'm a student of Design and Motion, so I have always been quite passionate about the audio part of media. I play the guitar and drums, so music is a big part of my life as well.
I've had acting and voice workshops to improve my acting and voice over skills.
I have a home studio for audio edition. The gear I currently have is:
Microphone: Shure SM58
Soundcard: Edirol Fa-66
Mixing: Behringer Xenyx X2442 USB
Hardware: MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core i7 quad-core 2,3 GHz, 16Gb RAM
Software: Ableton Live
I enjoy watching films and series, which has been a tremendous inspiration when creating characters and diverse voices.
