Forensic precision? Really, Bryan? Well, let me explain. I am a retired FBI Agent and forensic scientist (Latent Prints) who is also trained as a professional actor and voice artist. With 25 years in the FBI behind me, yeah --I can do the "authoritative, commanding, 'Voice of God', believe me (especially at 6AM when you really don't want to hear it!)
But that's where my acting training and my prior experience as a mental health professional comes in. I can also do gentle, emotional, soothing, and empathetic. I can do the laid back "Frat boy" or the uptight businessman; the solemn doctor breaking cancer news to a worried parent, or the crass, rough-around-the edges construction worker! Oh, and can we talk dialects for a second? Yeah, I'm trained on those, TOO! British (RP, cockney, Londoner), Irish, Midwest US, Southern US, Texas, Boston and New England, and of course, New YAWK and New JOISEY! (Tony Soprano, anyone?). Fug-ged-abow-dit!
Having a science and graduate degree, technical language is no problem for me, either. If I don't know how to pronounce something, I know where to go to find out. No guessing.
My turn around time? I can have it to you... YESTERDAY. That IS how today's world works, right? Typically on a small project, I can have it back to you in a few hours --yeah, not days! HOURS!
But what about that "precision" you mentioned, Bryan? I record in a acoustic treated room with a top-shelf mic (Sennheiser 416 shotgun condensor) into a Universal Apollo Twin set up with an API Vision console, an Avalon VT-737, a UAD 1176 Rev A compressor, and the old standard Teletronix LA2A. WHOA! I nerded out on tech, didn't I? What all this means is I have a very HIGH LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL, CLEAN SOUND. Plus, I edit out dead air, clicks, etc. My sound is up-front, present, and generally deep sounding, but I can go higher, too if the script requires.
So, check out my demos, or better yet, send me a custom audition script.
