Bright, friendly, trustworthy…like your favorite childhood teacher who made everything make sense. Before stepping behind the mic, Carolyn spent over 30 years teaching elementary school, mostly French to kids who’d rather be anywhere else. If that doesn’t build stamina, what does? She learned to speak with clarity, warmth, and just enough energy to keep attention, and can bring that same vibe to her recordings: upbeat, articulate, approachable, and listener-focused. And yep, she can pronounce French words confidently (and correctly), even if she’s not teaching the language anymore. Before teaching, she said “yes” to jobs she had no clue how to do: running McDonald’s birthday parties in a train caboose (yes, with the hat), working at a garden centre despite having a long history of murdering houseplants, and planning a pet contest with zero idea how to run a contest…or market anything…but people showed up, so she must’ve done it well! She’s also a vocal health nerd (ask her about The Acid Watcher Diet), easy-crossword fan, true crime binge-watcher, church volunteer, and road-tripper with a glove box full of junk food snacks, and zero regrets. She takes board games seriously...unless she’s losing, in which case it’s just for fun, obviously. ;-)
