Most of my acting experience has been on-camera from the age of 4. I worked in television and the movies for many, many years. While voiceover is a much newer endeavor for me, I studied for over 4 years at Dolores Diehl's Voiceover Connection before making my first demo some time ago.
I went into the study of Voice Over with a background of acting professionally and doing plenty of live performances in theatre as well as my on-camera work. I therefore feel I am a Voice Actor, and I do believe in bringing characters and copy to life, whether selling cars, or creating the next Cruella DeVille.
I began acting on tv and in movies when I was four years old, and continued, on and off, to this very day. I studied in many workshops and with many wonderful teachers such as Estelle Harmon (acting) Danny Goldman (comedy improv), and many, many more. I have performed in some 30 plays, and worked on over 70 television programs and movies--all speaking roles, of course.
As mentioned earlier, I studied voiceover with Dolores Diehl at her Voiceover Connection and took courses on animation, commercials, commercial characters, among other facets of voiceover.
Currently, I am using a professional microphone with my Mac, and can produce and send MP3s,among other sound files. Stay tuned for further developments.
I write plays, and hope to produce my first full 2-act comedy later this year. I have edited copy for a number of writers, and even for one attorney's legal brief. As mentioned earlier, I also have recently begun translating web sites into Spanish (above and beyond Google Translation, of course). I have also written some commercial copy.
I have been tutoring students for some 13 years now. I work primarily on language skills: English, Spanish, and French. I help prep students for their SAT I tests, and many other standardized tests. I have helped students memorize and bring monologues to life for their auditions as well.
I speak near-fluent Spanish, and some French, but can follow any copy in both.
I have an MA in Linguistics, and also grew up speaking Spanish with family members from Costa Rica (in-laws of older brothers). I also have translated web sites into Spanish, and have translated and transcribed French for RealTV (from documents and videos).
