Colleen’s professional career has been defined by two diametrically opposite forces – her life as a professional in musical theatre, where she could often be found belting out 11 o’clock numbers and tap dancing, and her life as a military spouse. Military life means reinvention, flexibility, and adaptability - over the past 12 years, Colleen has spent her professional life wearing many hats – often as a professional actor and musical theatre performer, but also a manager working in the administrative side of arts organizations and in the boutique fitness sector, and, as a mom of two.
Originally from Maryland, Colleen has a naturally clear and neutral American accent. Her natural and relatable tone is bright and energetic, yet musical and smooth. As a bonus, years of music and voice training allow her to easily stretch her sound, from adding accents and dialects to subtle changes in pacing and rhythm that create the emotion and tone you are looking for – whether it be a 30 second commercial spot, an eLearning video, or a nonfiction self help book.
With vocal cords of (buttery warm) steel from years of musical theatre performance and training, and a mind for strategy and adaptation from working in both the non-profit and private sector, Colleen has found a home in voiceover work.
