First, you simply must know that I was the voice of Christ in my 8th grade Passion Play. If doing a VO of the Son of God isn't good enough for you, here's another story:
I got called in at the last minute to audition for a M Knight Shyamalan film. I was up against native-born Spanish speakers. I (miraculously) got the (tiny) part BUT: it was pretty much the climax of the movie.
Remember a little movie called The Sixth Sense? When Bruce Willis is down in the basement listening to old tapes of is sessions, he hears something in the background. Turns it up to 10. "Yo no quiero morir, auyudame por favor!" That was me. It was a blast.
I've since gotten married and had kids, but every once in a while I've been fortunate enough to do VO work for Children's books on tape, industrials, and more recently, promotional videos for clients of the advertising agency where I work.
Work includes:
Stages of Imagination - VO Narration for books on tape
SAP - Industrial videos (internal)
The Sixth Sense - Theatrical film
Clinique Medical - Industrial VO (convention video)
No formal VO training, but tons of regional theatre (including a national tour) and on-camera training at Mike Lemon Casting in Philadelphia
I have an several Macs at home, all with Garage Band and Logic. I can do scratch tracks or demos, but would recommend final work be studio produced
