My first experience with voice overs came while I was working as a receptionist at a car dealership. One of the insurance companies the dealership often did business with asked that I voice their automated answering service for a fee. After that I was hooked. I went on to intern in the production department at a local radio station where I quickly became the new female voice talent. While working as an intern, I learned to voice, produce, and edit commercials for radio. My voice was used for commercials of a serious nature as well as for a Christmas time Hess truck commercial targeted to children.
As an intern at Citadel Broadcasting I learned from other voice over actors; how to adjust and deliver a message to the client's satisfaction. I also learned how to use my range more effectively. I eventually began doing afternoon traffic reports and recording commercials for the urban/hip hop, top twenty, and even country radio stations.
I am a young, new voice over talent. I learn quickly and, take direction well.
