My background is mainly in performance poetry, where voice and tone is extremely important in terms of delivery. I have recorded my own albums and books on tape as an artist, for my own creations, and after many people asking if I did other voiceover work, am becoming serious about the field. I am looking forward to accepting new jobs.
Caits Meissner is a multi-disciplinary storyteller and arts educator. As an educator, she has worked extensively with Urban Arts Partnership in New York City public schools, coached students to open the 24 Hour Plays on Broadway in 2009 and 2010 and pioneered a women and youth focused community-based performance series through the Lower Eastside Girls Club. Winner of the OneWorld Poetry Contest, Caits attended the 2008 inaugural Pan-African Literary Forum in Accra, Ghana where she studied under Pulitzer Prize winner Yusef Komunyakaa and other luminaries from the literary African diaspora. In addition to her own self-released work, she has been published in various literary journals. Her well-received EP, The Wolf & Me, was released in May 2010. Currently she is working on a novel, releasing The Letter All Your Friends Have Written You, a collaborative poetry book with poet Tishon and producing the webseries "The Livingroom Sessions," hosted on Creative Control TV.
